Bee began in 2006 with a small coffee shop located on the North West side of Indianapolis. Bee built a shop dedicated to examining the craft of coffee, serving and sourcing with intention, and being a welcoming safe space for all. Starting with only a five pound roaster in the back room of the cafe grew over time to bringing in a much larger restored 1953 Roure thirty pound roaster. They like to say that the roaster is the oldest member of the team. Bee operated two cafes in the City but has since transitioned entirely to a small batch roasting business. While they no longer have an official address, you can pick up your beans at center point brewing! (the address provided above). Bee is unique in their approach, focusing primarily on wholesale partnerships, as well as roasting small batches to order. They begin roasting the previous week's orders each Tuesday in order to ship the freshest coffee possible.
